The Province of Chaco is one of the twenty-three provinces of the Argentine Republic and one of the twenty-four national legislative constituencies. Its capital and most populated city is the homonymous Formosa. Its capital and most populated city is Resistencia. It is located in the northeast of the country, in the Norte Grande Argentino region, bordered to the north by Formosa, to the east by the Paraguay and Paraná rivers that separate it, respectively, from the Republic of Paraguay and the province of Corrientes, to the south by Santa Fe, to the west by Santiago del Estero and to the northwest by the province of Salta.
